"Sometimes people write novels and they just be so wordy and so self-absorbed," West said. "I am not a fan of books. I would never want a book's autograph."How sad is that? Not only is he incapable of using proper English, but he says his favorite self quote is "Get use to being used." That's not an idea I ever want to pass through my childrens' heads.

Sad and scary. Kids listen to him.
Yep. Sad.
I've never had much respect for him, either. That is so very sad. I'm disappointed that children look up to him.
*HUGS*
This is beyond sad. Isn' it just something, he is a role model to so many kids I think too? I am going to read article now, has he really become and author, man i hope not, but if so how?????
Ok just read article. Um, how strange is it that his mother was an English professor! Anyway good luck to him and his 52 page spiral bound book, what a shame I say.
respect for words is so important in life...both written and spoken
That is so sad. I feel so bad for the English language sometimes :( People just walk all over it.
I wonder if other languages are having the same problem lately, or if it's just English... More specifically, American English.
Weird! How can an English teacher mother NOT pass on any literature skills to their child? I don't get it...
Yeah, it's a good thing he's not all "self-absorbed" like those other authors. *eye roll*
I agree... Sad. What a role model, eh?
That is disgusting and sad.
He has every right to think and feel how he likes about reading or NOT reading in his case, but remember your audience. Children or possibly young adults that can be easily influenced by his ignorant uneducated dribble are hearing this. Great job, idiot!!
I know I am going to hate myself for asking, but who the heck is Kayne West? Don't think I'm stupid, I just don't have any little ones at home any more. But if this fellow is a current 'role model' I'm quite glad my kids are grown.
Why doesn't he just say, "Hand me your money and I'll give my ghostwriter a teensy commission on it."
