"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. " -Helen Keller

Friday Photo Challenge: CELEBRATIONS

Welcome to this week's Friday Photo Challenge sponsored by The Steadfast Warrior from Destined to be an old woman with no regrets... This weeks theme is variety. Make sure you head over there and check out all the other participants this week.

Nothing screams celebration to me like the exuberance of fireworks. Here are a few of my favorite fireworks pictures (all clickable to see bigger pics).

I love fireworks. Funny to think though that when I was a child I really didn't love them. I remember crying because they were too loud.
Love your snow globe. That's too cool.

When I think of fireworks, I always think of the (seemingly) long wait leading up to when the show starts.

I love these photos.

So pretty! The last photo is my favorite kind of firework - sparkles and shooting stars :)

There is something so magical about fireworks. They are the essence of celebration... everyone's faces turned up in awe at the sky. Love it!

And kudos for getting good pictures! They are hard to capture...

I love watching fireworks!!! Those are cool pics...

I am a 'light' person more than the 'sound' person in terms of these firecrackers...
