I'm sure by now y'all know that Patrick Swayze lost his battle against pancreatic cancer yesterday. I remember being totally swept away by the cheesy romance in Dirty Dancing (yeah, I'm a sap) and I remember sobbing at the end of Ghost when he said good-bye for the final time. And, earlier today I couldn't help the tears when I was watching the final dance from Dirty Dancing on youTube. Patrick Swayze could always make me weak in the knees and I loved that you could unashamedly adore him because he lived his life with class and style. He and his wife had a real life fairytale romance - 34 years of love and marriage and 38 years of friendship. I had so hoped he would be a miracle survivor but, sadly, that wasn't to be. I think I'll put on one of his movies tonight and sniffle through a good-bye.

I'm with you! He was awesome, and lived a good life.
Its such a sad loss, the good ones always get recalled back way before their time should be up.
I really feel for his wife, Lisa because they were soulmates she's going to miss him so much. I've seen how my Mum has had to adjust this past year to losing my Dad and by gosh it's hard, it's a pain I could never imagine and hopefully never have to go through.
May they always be with each other, in this life and next, wonder if Patrick got to see that how Ghost ended is really how it happens...

I was so sad when I heard the news last night.
It is so sad to hear that he's gone. I too remember Dirty Dancing from highschool and Ghost and even a few others.

This is a terrible loss, for his wife-first, then for his extended family and friends, then for Hollywood. He was a great actor and now cancer took his life. Well, life is short and the unexpected does happen!
It made me sad too. Dirty Dancing was awesome. You don't have to be a sap to know that. :)
34 years of marriage is like 100 years in Hollywood. RIP :(
