"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. " -Helen Keller

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly...

The Good...
  • Joey found my keys which have been missing for a while.
  • Marty took over cooking dinner tonight.
  • My mom is going to be in town Saturday and is going to take us to dinner and out for ice cream.
The Bad...
  • I've spent all day coughing but thought I was feeling better.
  • My mom was originally going to come today but didn't get out of work as early as she was suppose to.
The Ugly...
  • I still feel like SHIT. I let my medicine wear off because I thought I was doing better. I was sadly mistaken. The minute the tylenol/motrin was out of my system, my fever went back up and I started shaking. (which is why Marty took over cooking and an additional reason we are going to see my mom Saturday instead of today). I am sitting here in gorgeous 66 degree weather and have a thick fleece hoodie on.
Make me smile,  help entertain me...tell me something happy or funny.

sorry you feel crappy still. I can relate.
something funny...I'll be there first thing in the morning with all my kids, going to drop them off and check into a hotel so I can get some sleep.

I'm sorry! Feel better soon!

OK... something funny.. overheard at a petting zoo (and remember I know a lot about animals)

Visitor to animal keeper: Oh my! Why does that one look so emancipated?

animal keeper: Blank look and can tell there is furious figuring going on in there.

Visitor: Expectant

Animal Keeper: Oooooooh! They get thinner around the hips as they age and things sag. They aren't as, er, "thin" as you think.

HAHAHA> I kept picturing good old Abe writing a proclamation for sheep.

p.s. In case it's unclear. I believe "Emancipated" was actually meant to be "emaciated."

Hopefully taking a new dose of meds will kick in quickly so you will be feeling better soon.

Something funny? Yesterday it was hot and sunny. Tonight it is snowing. I swear, Colorado is a bi-polar state. (That being said I have friends who are bi-polar so that's not meant to be offensive or anything)

I'm sorry you feel like crap. :( I hope you feel better quickly.

Hmmmm - to make you smile . . .

I signed up for EMT classes this fall. I think you've been a ditch doctor yourself . . . ;)

To make you laugh:

Knock, knock

Who's there?

Owls

Owls who?

That's right - they do indeed . . .

:)

Here's my 2 year-old's favorite new joke:

Knock, knock

Who's there?

Doctor.

Doctor who?

Doctor Whoooo, Doctor Whooooo- that my favorite TV show!

I thought a fellow geek would get a kick out of that.

@ Mrs. Spock - I just recently started watching Star Trek (Hey, better late then never! Not my fault my parent's deprived me of it growing up lol) and Spock is definitely my favorite... Anyway, just had to share because your name made me laugh (and I'm hoping my little story will make Dragondreamer smile/laugh!)
