"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. " -Helen Keller

Perfect Moment Monday: He's really happy

On Saturday, I saw my oldest son truly happy and relaxed. He was practically pinging with excitement when they came back from their plane ride. It wasn't until I saw him that relaxed and happy and excited that I realized how much stress and tension he had been operating under. Pulling him out of school and homeschooling him was one of the best decisions I ever made.

I'm so glad he feels better. Maybe now the muscle spasms will resolve and he can grow in peace like every other kid? Stress does strange things to us.

What an amazing moment and wonderful photograph. I LOVE FLYING! I'll never forget my first time in a small plane, and I actually took a flying lesson once.

I completely admire the fact that you home school your son. I think that's the best choice for so many kids.

I'm so happy to hear that things are working out. It's tough as a parent sometimes to know if you're making the right decision. That smile is proof enough you made the right choice!
