"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. " -Helen Keller

:(

My boy is still hurting. And, damn it, nothing makes a mom feel more helpless than not being able to make her *baby feel better.

*Yeah, I know Marty is almost 13 but he will always be my baby.

Nothing more helpless feeling than that.

Big hugs!

:-( so so sorry. I know what you are going through. Brie has been having headaches that cause her to not even want to leave the house. It's tough. Lucky for us we know the culprit.

Awwww, poor baby (13 yrs old is still totally okay to be called a baby)

It's so hard seeing our kids in pain when we can't help. Does really hot baths help?

(also, I wanted to thank you for answering my blog post request. You said some really nice things about me and I really do appreciate it, more than you know!)

Oh Kristin! I am so sorry - poor baby. (And I know completely how you feel about the "always be my baby"!)

Do you think a warm/hot bath with salts will help? Massages with Arnica or Icy/Hot before bed? Sometimes my boys would wake up screaming in the middle of the night and the only thing that seemed to help was rubbing their legs. I use to give them a small therapeutic dose of ibuprofen before bed also and that seemed to help.

Praying that he doesn't have to endure this much longer (if at all anymore!)

I need to read these in the correct order because I know you found out there is something to make you feel worse.
I agree though. When my kids are sick I'd trade places any day so that they didn't have to feel it.
I hope he gets some relief.
