"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. " -Helen Keller

Win a signed copy of The Story of Beautiful Girl

One of the things I love best about blogging is getting to share my passions with you. Reading has been and always will be a true passion and there is one particular book that I am truly passionate about. That book is The Story of Beautiful Girl by Rachel Simon. I've talked about this book here on my blog (go read it if you haven't already), I've run my mouth about it on Goodreads and Amazon, and I've told everybody who will listen how amazing this book is. Now, I want to share The Story of Beautiful Girl with one of you. When my mom and I went to hear Rachel talk about her book, I bought a copy of the book to give away and had her sign it but, I have to confess that I would have bought a copy for each and every one of you if money wasn't an issue. I can't wait to give this book away to one of you so click on the more link below and enter using the Rafflecopter form.

I love The Soprano Sorceress by L. E. Modesitte because I love a strong heroine, especially one that couldn't do anything on Earth, and I love how she struggles with the ethics of power. Plus, being a band geek, I love how the magic in this world is based on music!
I'd like to read The Magic Touch...it seems really original and looks funny!
One title that I loved, but that is a little outside of my usual reading tastes... The Gun Seller by Hugh Laurie (that's right... written by House!). It was fun, fast paced, and intense. And the whole time I read it, I could hear House's voice as the narrator.
I'd love to add the "Writer's Survival Guide" to my collection of books on writing. I always need a kick in the butt...
I love lots of books! I just finished a YA book called Hold Me Closer, Necromancer (can't remember who wrote it just now...Lish McBride, maybe?) that was very entertaining.
I've been reading how to deal with your toddler without losing your mind or your temper books lately. Looking forward to seeing you this Summer!
Sounds like a very interesting book! So cool you got to meet the author! :)
Opps! I don't follow directions very well... I commented before reading the question I was supposed to answer! ;) One of my favorite books is The Road Less Traveled by M. Scott Peck. The opening line is "Life is difficult." He goes on to talk about once we accept that, we can move on with the business of living and stuff like that. There's also a great section about "real love" vs. "romantic love." Not that you can't have both, but he discusses how relationships take work and we "choose" to love our mates, as much as we can or should "fall" in love with them.
I'm now reading "Room" and on the rare occasions I can put it down, I do not stop thinking about it.
I love "Pride and Prejudice". There's always some witty comeback that makes me laugh when I reread it. Plus, I married a man just like Darcy (minus a massive estate like Pemberley) so, there's that ;)
I have always loved "The Red Tent", I read it at a time in my life when I needed to Feel something about being female and I DID, everytime I think fo that book I feel a surge of the FEMININE . :)
YEA!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited about winning this book, I can't wait to read it. :)
THANK YOU!!!!!
