"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. " -Helen Keller

McCain is a *political WUSS

This picture is from the Huffington Post

I can not believe this shit. Truly I can't. Yes, we are in a political crisis but you DO NOT suspend the democratic process to deal with the economy. I cold say a lot more on this but instead I'm going to point you to three items that say it the best. LH ripped McCain a new one in his post McCain is desperate and afraid. And Craig Ferguson seems to really get it...

And David Letterman has a brilliant take on it too...

*Please understand...there is much about McCain I admire. He sacrificed much for our country during his military service. There are even things I agree with him on. However, I do NOT like him as a politician.

Those were two really entertaining clips--and I think Dave had a valid point--go, do your job in Washington, but don't suspend the campaign. As for snubbing Dave over Katie--the evenings news is a bit of a different venue than a late night show. But you do have to wonder about what his campaign manager has been smoking lately. Never a dull moment...

Sorry to say, but I am agreeing with the "wuss" part - he is wussing out on the political process. Can you imagine what would happen if ANY president were to say "oops... we can't talk about anything else right now because we have a crisis". Doesn't the man get that this crisis is directly tied to many other of the crises that people want to hear discussed?

It'll be interesting to see if he has the kahoneys to show up for the debate.

Thanks for stopping by :)

those are great!
I respect McCain, I do...but I think he picked a horrendous running mate, and things are getting weirder and weirder.
Good post!

Great post! I totally agree with you, man up and debate. If Obama had suggested this, they would have eaten him alive.

The Letterman thing was pretty funny. My question was, do you really need to "suspend the campaign" to go back to Washington? It still goes on really with all the ads and such. It just means that you have to miss a few interviews or whatever. weird.

Here from ICLW. I am not a very political person but I still don't understand why some old school thinkers (as I think of the) think you need to be a military hero to run our country. Does a great CEO have experience in all areas of business? Probably not but they have great support and advisors...

I think both parties have crappy candidates and it is simply a choice between two evils.

This is so Funny, I've heard from other friends in NC that people find it very difficult to make a choice. But you know , the largest, middle an smallest size countries are all in the same situation,
The States dont know who to choose, Great Brittain is sorry about what they did choose, and the Netherlands wished they had a choice right now !!

The Daily Show had some great takes on this as well. Have you seen it lately? I watch it online
