"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. " -Helen Keller

I still remember the first time I got the news....and watched the footage on television.

I was like - How can this happen?

I still remember those shots of people jumping outside from the towers to a certain death to escape the fire inside. It was horrific.

Remembering all those who have lost their lives in acts of terrorism, and saluting everyone who has come out to help the victims in any way possible.
What a powerful and moving post Kristin. I love that you did the whole thing with before and after pictures. Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful and bittersweet tribute on this 10th Anniversary of 9/11.
No words. I'm all out I think. Beautiful post.
Man, that flight 93 wreckage picture is just... wow. Chills.
