"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. " -Helen Keller

Sluuuuuurrrrrrppppppp

That's the sound y'all probably heard. I got caught in the fabulously wonderful time suck known as Pinterest earlier this evening. I started the evening with a handful of boards and only a few things pinned and, in one marathon pinning session, I ended up with 23 boards and over 100 pins.

Wait a minute, I think I heard someone saying they didn't know what pinterest is. Well, think of it as a bunch of photographic bookmarks for shit you like. Tonight, I looked at Shoe Porn...
drooled over Yumminess...
fantasized over all the crafty creative shit I'll be able to complete now the kids are all in school (bwahahahahahaha)
I fed my inner geek...
and fantasized about visiting Dreamy Places and Beautiful Spaces...
What have you gotten sucked into recently? What has captured your interest lately? Is it something attainable or more of a fantasy? Inquiring minds (at least my inquiring mind) want to know!

The last picture is beautiful....Who wouldn't want to live in a place like that... or visit it for a while.

I have been fantasizing about a trip that DH and I have wanted to take for a while. No place very romantic, just that I want to get away from everything and everyone else for a while....

Getting away would be wonderful. I hope you guys get the chance to get away.
I am going to have to check out that site... looks interesting. I'm currently in a bit of a vague space, not really deep into any one thing. I guess you could say that I'm between obsessions at the moment.

I adore that last pic... I want to spend hours and hours there.

According to northwest Magazine http://www.northwestmagazines.com/northwest_great... , it is The Grotto Spa at Tigh-Na-Mara
Parksville (Vancouver Island). The mineral bath is fed by a 2 story waterfall. I want to go there.
OMG, where is that place??

And I CANNOT go on there. Baaaad idea, LOL.

Catching up with blogging...
--Your poor Gabe...sounds like he was a real trooper with his cut chin and tongue. The poor little sweetie!
--LOVED the first day of school pics and descriptions of your kiddos--awesome.
--"Crouching Butter, Hidden Freddy" HILARIOUS!
--Your home buying escapades are scary....what an ordeal!
--Looking forward to seeing Marty in ROTC pictures...he's looking SO grown up!
--Sorry to hear Joey was sick...hope he's better now. And YAY that he's made friends at school.
--My interest....I've been lax on blogging, reading, and Facebook due to back-to-school stuff. However, my parents are coming to visit and go to Disney World with us for 2 days. I've been like a little kid....SO excited to take them to Disney. Checking out multiple "deals" and Disney fun related websites. :)

Glad to see you back here Alana. Am so jealous of your Disney trip although we are going to Wet 'n Wild tomorrow.
Those dumplings look so delicious. Yum. Love the last picture: looks like a Bond villan's escape. I'm thinking I should join Pinterest now...
oh pinterest...so much PLAID, so little time!
Games on my iPod and rereading Harry Potter. :)
PINTREST makes me so happy - also, I need those shoes. Like now.
