"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. " -Helen Keller

Perfect Moment Monday: Happy Anniversary

Welcome to Perfect Moment Monday sponsored by Lori over at Write Mind Open Heart. Lori says that "Perfect Moment Monday is more about noticing a perfect moment than about creating one. Perfect moments can be momentous or ordinary or somewhere in between."

A week ago Saturday, Vic and I went out on a date. We actually got to go out and celebrate our anniversary. Now, for many people, this might not seem remarkable but with Vic's work schedule and the kid's schedules, it's a rare occasion that the money to go out and the time to go out actually coincide. We both got cleaned up...
excuse the goofy smile and closed eyes...my
camera sucked and this was the best picture I got

Then, we headed out for the night. We headed to The Hibernian and had a nice relaxing dinner. It was such a pleasant change of pace to not have to worry about feeding the kids or telling them to stop bugging each other. We both had a delicious dinner and I even had a drink.
An Orange Creamsicle with Peach Schnapps,
Whipped Cream Vodka, OJ, and Milk
Since Rys and her husband were watching the kids, we didn't have to worry about hurrying home. We were able to just hang out together after dinner. We went and wandered through a few stores, checked out a few places we'd been meaning to see, and truly got to enjoy each other's company. It was a rare pleasure and a truly perfect moment.

It really was. I just wish we got to do it more often.
You look so beautiful, Kristin. Your hair has gotten long! So glad you two had a night to enjoy each other and be carefree. Perfect!

Thank you my friend. My only complaint is the purple hair had faded so my hair no longer matched my dress.
Happy Anniversary to you and Vic! You so deserve a night out and I am so glad that you two got one! You both look great (and so does that drink), I especially love Vic's smile (even with his eyes closed) -- he looks so happy! Thank you for sharing. Cheers to you and Vic! I hope that you have a wonderful week and notice many more perfect moments.

Thanks Kathy. I love Vic's smile too...even when it's a slightly goofy one.
Yea for a night out! You look like a million bucks, too! So glad you two had a great time.
I hear ya on the time/money hubs work schedule thing! Glad you guys had a relaxing time...makes me jealous! :-)
How wonderful! Glad you both had a wonderful time. I know what you mean about barely getting to go out alone. Happy Anniversary to you and Vic. Love the photos!!

Aw, look at you two :) Glad you got to get out and have some alone time, it sounds lovely! May you have many more happy anniversaries to come.
Happy Anniversary!

It is so refreshing to be able to catch up with a loved one, even a loved one you share your every day with. It is so crazy to think how busy life gets and how little time we get to spend with those that mean the most. Good for you finding the time.
aww, ya'll look great!
