SHOW AND TELL: The Great Animal Exodus

Until today, my oldest two children had a truly obscene amount of stuffed animals while Gabe only had a thoroughly ridiculous amount. Well, Marty truly must be growing up...*sniff*sniff*...because he announced that with a few exceptions, he wanted to get rid of his menagerie. His loss will be your gain because I'm holding the Great Stuffed Animal Giveaway as a way to complete the Great Stuffed Animal Exodus. The winners will receive their goodies over the next month or two as shipping funds are available.

All you have to do to enter is comment here (and make sure I have a way to get your email address). You can pick up another entry by following me on twitter and commenting here to tell me you did (this should be a different comment that your original entry). You can get a third entry by commenting a third time and telling me which group you want and why. BTW, if you win and want to, you can designate another recipient for the stuffed animals.

This is a stellar opportunity for parents and infertiles alike. Parents get goodies for their kids and Infertiles get baby shower gifts they NEVER have to shop for. All stuffed animals are clean but loved. Let the Giveaway Exodus begin.

Scrappy Doo and Garfield

The fishies...small ones are 8 inches long

For the dinosaur lover

Pooh, his heffalump, 2 Tiggers, & Eeyore

Lots o' little ones

The Care Bear and the Night Time Sounds bear are electronic and they do work.

Halloween plus a few

Sesame Street plus Blues Clues...Ernie sings Rubber Duckie, the right
hand Elmo says "Elmo Loves You, and Grover Rocks and Rolls.

The Random Remainder

To see what everyone else in class is bringing to SHOW AND TELL, take a trip to visit the Miss Mel, Goddess of the Infertility Blogosphere.

And, don't forget to go by my Etsy shop and buy a hat to support the Liz Logelin Foundation. All the details can be found in this previous Show & Tell post.

Finally, to help Kym and all future Sock-It-To-Me participants, I am going to set up a sock site database. It will probably just be in a post here but the info will be available to all. Please EMAIL ME (yes, use that link...not any other email address you have for me...using this link will keep all the emails together) and give me a link to the site you bought the socks from and any review of the site you might have.

Oh my, I'd want to weep as well! And - giving away Pooh and friends? That's just heartbreaking! God, they've grown...

Your site header is cool, dahling!

Free stuff? Why, who could resist???? Ugh, what a bittersweet time to have one wanting to purge the trappings of his childhood (and yet, wouldn't it be worse if he wanted to keep them all into his 20's? LOL!)

Your are just so creative Kristin I swear! As you know I am in Cairo so mailing to me is not an option. BUT, IF i were to win any of them, i would love that they be sent to a charter school in the Southwest. It is a school that caters to low social economic familes. The children don't have much but love to learn and a special delivery like this would make their day! (my dad teaches there too, he is AMAZING and gives these kids so much hope!!!)

If my number is picked, I'll defer to someone else. The LAST thing we need in our home is MORE TOYS.

But I must say you have a very nice collection, and your children are very grown up and generous to part with them.

What a great idea! I'm loving the Scooby Doo/Garfied combo, as I've been a Scooby lover since I was a little girl. :)

Wow! What a collection of stuffed animals!!

It must be an emotional exodus.

Your kids had a super collection....Is the Garfield gone?

Hey, would a hospital/child care centre also be interested in this kind of stuff?

Awesome idea! If I win, I'd like to do what Wishing 4 one is doing, too. That's a great idea! You're so beautiful, Kristin, I love ya!

I will have to agree, those fish are awesome! I think you should have a sending off party for all of them before you spread their love!

Wow, that is a lot of stuffed animals!

The big fish, I am in agreement with Parenthood for Me... just... awesome.

If I win, I am deferring to another blogger as well :) As much as I love the giant fish, (Because it's just cool!) I really don't need any more stuffed animals in my home... yes, I know, I am a grown woman with a stuffed animal collection... but they're all in the attic, I swear!

I'm glad he's keeping some. Everyone has to keep at least one! ;) My parents saved a couple from when I was a baby, and they are in my keepsake box.

I'd love to enter but I'm worried that our tiny apartment can't handle a collection at this point. Deferring to someone else. :)

Holy Moly! I freaking HATE stuffed animals too. Every few months I pack up a grocery bag full of them and throw them into the garage. The kids haven't missed them. I even tell people ~not~ to get us those damned things, yet they multiply like rabbits!

Those are pretty cute. Especially the fish. I remember doing that several times when I was younger. It went in stages for me. I started with the ones that didn't mean much to me and got rid of those, then several years later got rid of more. I had tried to donate them to the children's hospital in Portland but they wouldn't take them unless they were new. I finally found out that the police station would take them to give to kids on calls they made. I ended up giving them like 3 huge garbage bags full.

K, I am hung over that Garfield...
