Household Hints from Evil Mom: Tip 3

Temporarily changing the name from Household Hints to Helpful Hints...

Hi y'all, it's been a long time since I've brought you a tip or hint and I'm sorry for that...but, I'm going to disappoint you yet again because the hint I have today won't apply to most of you. In fact, this hint is aimed at the lowest of the low...the telemarketer. Wait, they aren't the lowest. The phone scammers are worse.

Now y'all, I know most of you who do the actual phone work for the scammers probably aren't horrible people. You probably don't even know just how bad the scum sucking bottom feeders you work for are. These days, most people have gotten pretty savvy and are really careful not to get sucked in by scams. But, I have to tell you, there is one sure way to make sure you are a failure at your phone scam job. Take a look below...

That's right, most people have caller ID these days. When you call my house and your phone number comes up labeled as PHONE SCAM on my caller id, there is no way in hell you are getting anything from me. Isn't modern technology a wonderful thing?

So, do you have any tips or hints you want me to tackle?

LOL That is hilarious! Now if all the political ads that keep calling would come up as BS - it would make my life complete.

OMG- are you for real?!?!?!?! That is AWESOME! LOL

you know the callers that drive me nuts? The clothing drive people? I donated with a few different ones and they call like deranged ex-boyfriends. . . I mean over and over and over and never leave a message- I always felt bad telling them not to harass me, but I finally had to ask them all not to call me anymore- its so bizarre.

All hail caller ID!

(Happy ICLW!)

Too funny! How dumb can you get?

Our phone number is entirely unlisted because we use a voip service, which is great. But the sales call we do get tho are incessant! Mostly the insurance company associated with our bank. Ugh!

ICLW

I need help. We didn't pay an outrageous parking ticket from a private parking lot and they've been calling us for about 4 years now. I have caller ID, so I don't even bother picking up. We once tried calling them back to tell them to stop calling us - we were on hold for 10 minutes believe it or not - and told them we were NEVER going to pay them so they might as well stop using their auto dialer system. We even managed to get the number barred from getting through, but they're back. What more can we do to get them to stop?

Lol, that's great! I don't have a house phone, and I definitely don't miss all the annoying telemarketer calls.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and wishing me luck! :)

LOL -- I don't know why, but I haven't had any solicitors call me since I've lived where I live now. I did put my number on a do not call list, but I didn't think those things actually worked! Now if I could just stop the junk mail, all would be right. LOL

Also, i just saw the HP counter you have... OMG, I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!

Way too funny! I don't have a landline anymore, and luckily don't get telemarketers on my cell phone.

Now THAT's absolutely brilliant! Saves the time picking up the call, listening to the scam, thanking the scammer for wasting your time and hanging up. How efficient!
