SHOW AND TELL: Oh Tannenbaum

Welcome to our weekly expedition into the land of Show and Tell. Y'all know Show and Tell is wasted on the elementary schoolers. Join us weekly to show off an item, tell a story, and get the attention of the class. In other words, this is Show and Tell 2.0.

I am so thrilled with our tree this year. All three boys and my *SBC Jennifer helped me decorate the tree. Joey got so excited that he was unwrapping decoration after decoration and not taking time to hang them up. Gabe was practically pinging off the walls with excitement while we were decorating. Even Marty has commented how much he loves our tree this year. Sadly, Vic was at work. The best part is that this year I got every single decoration on the tree but I think that next year I will either need a bigger tree (ours is at least 8 ft tall) or a second tree. I was out of room probably about 10 to 15 ornaments before I was done and I simply can't see myself stopping the collecting of these treasures.

Your tree is pretty! Speaking of too many ornaments, my mom kept every. Single. One. Of our paper ornaments with the pictures of us with no teeth, misspelled, off-center holes, and all. And until we were teenagers, insisted on hanging them all on the tree. We hid them my first year in college. She's probably found them by now and hanging them on the tree again.

What a gorgeous tree! I can't wait for Oscar to be big enough to participate in traditions like decorating the tree.

How lovely Kristin!! I am so glad everyone enjoyed putting it all together. My girls have their own tree downstairs that they make it what they want it to be. Might be neat for the boys to have a boy's only tree! I will get William his own when he is older :)

Oooh. Pretty. I too am going to eventually need a second tree. I have tons of ornaments and that is one of the things I usually will get on trips is some sort of unique ornament.

There is something special about a tree all lit up and glowing. I look for other ways to display ornaments. You get creative after while...

Oh how pretty! I just did my tree this week as well. I put the ornament you gave me on, too. Everytime I look at it, I think of you! :-)
