My mother had another name in my mind for a daughter. When I think of that other name, I do not feel I justify the other name or it suits me. Plus, the way it's spelled is unusual even in Hebrew, so it gives me some grief. But I would never change it. I don't think I could bring myself to do it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8678310.post-88648394875002171202011-04-14T10:31:15.818-05:002011-04-14T10:31:15.818-05:00It's funny, I always think of your spelling (K...It's funny, I always think of your spelling (K-r-i-s-t-i-n) as the standard spelling. :)Quiet Dreamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13852998912734693621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8678310.post-88313461160357808562011-04-14T10:05:57.211-05:002011-04-14T10:05:57.211-05:00We Share a Name Kristin and NO ONE EVER spells my ...We Share a Name Kristin and NO ONE EVER spells my name right I always get the En but I at times have gotten fancier spellings. I am meh with my name, my father chose it and I do not like my father so I have a hard time with my name. But since I have had it for 32 years I guess it's mine. Mine is Kristin Kathryn and I much prefer the Kathryn and as a child my grandfather who raised me called me Katy and I have had many other nicknames that had nothing to do with my name so I guess I don't like my name all that much but I guess I don't hate it. But I am coming to terms with it Ha.MamaKK922https://www.blogger.com/profile/12049722926774041989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8678310.post-80975275457620042012011-04-14T06:42:57.949-05:002011-04-14T06:42:57.949-05:00My full name is Vickie Lynn. My mom is Victoria Lucille, so we have the same initials and my first name is a shortened version of her first name.

The only problem I've ever had with my name is that at school, any government office and any doctor's office, they always call me Vickie. Even if I correct them. So, I've learned to just grit my teeth and answer to it. I don't mind the name, it's just not what I go by, so it doesn't seem like they're actually talking about/to me!

I do think I won the name game over my other siblings, though :D And my name means "beautiful flowing brook", which I love! Not sure how well it describes me, but I like the meaning anyway :DLynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07920969824307697368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8678310.post-33144358426883657882011-04-14T00:01:31.858-05:002011-04-14T00:01:31.858-05:00My full name "Danielle" means "God ...My full name "Danielle" means "God is your judge" which is kind of creepy if you ask me... I don't mind the name, but I mostly go by Danni which seems to suit me more. I once had a friend stop going by Danni but by out full name of Danielle when she realized I "was more Danni than she would ever be" - whatever that means...

As far as initials go, mine are DTF, which anyone who has seen Superbad or watches Jersey Shore thinks is hysterical. I'm not as amused.Dannelorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02152479219451098614noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8678310.post-42571906230763813842011-04-13T23:45:08.905-05:002011-04-13T23:45:08.905-05:00My name drove me nuts growing up. But I love that it is unique now, and wouldn't wish for anything else.

It seems I felt the need to pass unique onto my kids. So, despite the fact that it will be rough early on, it'll be something he will love down the line.Kakunaahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09680945395324128951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8678310.post-67280430680288508172011-04-13T22:55:34.986-05:002011-04-13T22:55:34.986-05:00I'm ok with Michell although there have been t...I'm ok with Michell although there have been times the spelling has bugged me. Whenever I get too annoyed though I stop to think of what could have been. My birth name was Doreen which I really don't have a problem with but it just doesn't seem to fit me. Also my mom wanted to name me Bobby Dawn and thank God my dad won that argument.battynursehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02240029154165501340noreply@blogger.com
