SHOW AND TELL: Mirror Image

Today, the older two boys went to the movie with Grandma (my MIL) and Gabe and I spent the time reading, playing Ms. Pacman, and painting. I showed Gabe how to make mirror image paintings. These are the mirror image paintings I did (all clickable for bigger viewing)...
And, this was Gabe's best mirror image painting...

Pretty! Now you have to get him to find pictures and shapes in his paintings!

Great idea. Can't wait til Min Man can do more creative things. Now he just like to peel the paper off the crayons.

Look at you, so crafty :-)

Did he have to tell you afterward what he saw in the shapes?

How cute - what a fun activity to share! Did you find shapes in them?

Awesome. It kinda looks like Gabe made a bunny... it's blue. Or I could be having an inkblot moment ;)

Those are so fun to do. My little guy is a little too young to get into that sort of thing right now, but I look forward to doing it with him in the future!

Oh God, you totally reminded me of school days (we used to do that like crazy then), and an unopened sketch book, water colours and new brushes...

Tell Gabe that in his painting I see a Yogi meditating...seriously!

What a good way to connect with children!
